My picture is clear”

To know real beauty is too see in her eyes when my eyes are closed,
Much to the imagination I would suppose.
Yet so real it is from my internal point of view
That the closure of my eyes is where this remains all true
...
I see her essence from the beginning, from the very start
From my rib, to her formation to the placement of her special heart
I see a light when she appears, because of her special glow
I watch her fly through the sky resting only atop the rainbow
If only she could see herself through the windows to my soul
If only she would just be her true self for this world to behold.

All I ask

With tears of sincerity I ask the Lord to step in
To stay by my side and protect me from all sin
To help me to rise whenever I might slip
To keep my mind focused on life’s amazing trip
Lord; help me to stay calm when others are mad
Help me lift their spirits when they’re feeling sad
Lord bless me with the strength to carry the load
So that I may walk one day on your Golden road!

“Sweet land of liberty”

America, America land of the brave, home of the free
Always good at camouflaging things it doesn’t want the world to see.
But most times we’re so arrogant that we won’t even try to hide it
Never changing that old attitude is what’s keeping this country divided.
Oh…we’re always one when it’s time to flex and go off to war
When it’s time to protect the rich whose intent is to never let the poor in their door.
We’re what's called a “best interest” country and have been all along
Always ready to turn our back or go on the attack if others aren’t singing our song.
We can’t move forward, because “Jimmy the Crow” keeps trying to take us back
Won’t pass common sense policies just because the elected President is black
Talking about democrats and republicans and which will move the country ahead
But for some the real agenda is to only keep the wealthy in the black
While the rest of this beautiful country sinks further financially into the red.
Maybe we should look at our flag, maybe add more colors to the red, white, and blue
Maybe then it would represent us all, and not just a damn chosen few!

What's a Queen to do? (Excerpt)

Every woman is a Queen if only she would believe
And trust in the father God, for He will never ever deceive
He placed you on earth’s garden, as its most beautiful flower
For His sons to love and respect every day, second, minute, and hour

Name me a great man, whom didn’t come from you
Name me a rough time when you weren’t there pushing nations through
How amazing is it that you were created from the rib of me

Yet I must come through your womb in this world in order to be free
For a man there’s ...

Wrong Opponent

I awoke this morning with a clear understanding that the battle we deal with is not between the physical flesh and the spirit at all as I had previously thought.  For the physical is weak and is nothing without the spirit to drive it.
We have only one body but just like a house with many members, many spirits enter and exit that one physical dwelling. Our bodies are merely the house or personal arena for which the battles of the “spirits” inside are held.  What tends to show itself to the world is just the manifestation of which spirit is winning at a given time.

We give our physical bodies too much credit! They are simply no match for the spirits. Our bodies don’t react to the spirit, it reacts because of the spirit, and generally speaking “spirits good or bad are always willing”, it’s no wonder the flesh is usually a mess.
Just like soldiers on the battlefield, casualties of war, we become sacrificial pawns in the battle for what the spirits are fighting for….OUR SOULS

Double Joker Poker

If a man leaves a Queen that treats him as her King

for a woman that treats him as just another Jack.
He should never be surprised if the hand he's dealt
ends up consisting of just...two Jokers!

Blue Beauty

Who brings beauty like this on a daily basis
To lift our spirit and take us places
Where we can fly far beyond
To clear our minds and talk with His son
A place where love is all around

And nowhere can you fly that it can’t be found
We may wonder about His name, yet that’s not odd

He says; I am that I am, but just call me God

The Pill (Excerpt)

We all know that we’re in the era of pharmaceutical giants, a time when one pill can fix a problem, but creates ten more.   I just saw a commercial on Viagra, the blue pill, the matrix; the men’s get right for the woman’s delight or whatever it is that they’re being called today.

I thought it was funny as a fool thinking they can actually get ice water in hell to cool off. Think about this; Viagra side effects; heartache, headache, upset stomach, low blood pressure, loss of sight, and loss of hearing ( and women wonder why the man doesn’t want to be bothered after they are finished in bed. Answer is simple; after y’all finish in bed he’s having a bad ass day!!).

It also tells me that some men ....

Watch your Mouth

The Thoughts we swallow are always free, it’s the words we vomit up that cost.
Playing “if it works for me” with Gods commands is the main reason so many of us are lost.
I walk in pollution everyday seems wherever I look it’s in plain view
Though I can’t always stop the dirt from penetrating my mind
I don’t have to ever speak it over to you.
See the test we take doesn’t even begin until something enters our hearts
And the heart can clean what exits the mouth for that’s where the pollution starts.

Do your part

We expect so much from our God
And so much has He given!
He’s given us life, love, the stars above,
Woman and Man, oceans and the land
Family and friend, His word to counter all sin
His promise that He’s with us from beginning to end
Yet to get back to God we must understand
Satan always says you can’t, God always says you can!
So we have to do our part for God to do His part
Yesterday is now history, but today is a new start!

For Love

If I have a chance to hold you again
I would open my heart and let you walk right in
I would hold you as close as petals on a rose
As we walk through the breeze as the soft wind flows
I would gaze deep in your eyes to see reflect ions at night
Of the stars in the sky and the moon so bright
I would stand by your side, and protect you from harm
Shower you with my love just to dry you off with my charm
I would never be too far away for you reach out and touch
I’ll love you forever and always ‘because you mean just that much
I would pray to God faithfully to keep things right
In the name of His Son ask that He keeps us in His light
And if all that didn’t work I would ask in the end
That He blesses us with more wisdom so we can try it again
And when God decides if time for my very last breathe
I’ll pray from my heart He gives it to you for it’s all I’ll have left…

One more chance

How many times have we asked God for one more chance?
Better yet how many times has He granted our request?
How many times have we slipped after we’ve sworn to Him?
If given just one more chance we would give him our best.
How many times have we tripped and fail
And only He stopped us from hitting the ground
Looked for so called loved ones, but it was only He that could be found.
How many times has the road looked so dark?
That we just wanted to lie down and never get up
Only to awake to the sunshine and a blessing He’s poured into our cup.
How many times have we done something we knew was wrong?
And smiled outside though inside we felt so very alone
Then Cried tears for forgiveness and one more chance once everyone was gone
Enough that when that day comes that our chances are no more
That we have a chance to enter His kingdom once God opens up Heaven doors

He's alway's on time

I woke up early this morning,
Mind wasn't where it should be
Spirit and flesh seem to be in battle,
To conquer the naked soul of me

My flesh was feeling antsy,
My physical had 'bout gave in
Then the spirit of a friend delivered a message from above
Saying; no way will I let your flesh win

So I had a deep conversation,
Dropped to my knees to pray
And a sweet voice of reason said; don't be too hard on yourself
Thomas, Rome wasn't built in a day

I had to search for some confirmation,
Felt like I was chasing waterfalls
For a man without self-control in life, is like a city broken into
And left without walls (Proverbs 25:28)

Motown

Motown was our baby and as babies do they grow up and move on, but man did it take the wind out of a lot of our sails as children. All of us children just took it for granted that we would get our chance to walk through those blue doors as so many around the world did. But...
for us young talented Detroiters, we just knew it because we lived right there with it. We ate it, slept it, talked it and God Knows we played it. Their departure left a void in the city that to this day has never quite been filled, but it's still our baby...4-EVER MOTOWN!

A simple man (Excerpt)

Why is it that mankind seems to love complexity when in fact Gods’ word is foundational and fundamental? Has He not shown us that building a house on solid rock is more valuable than building on the sandy beach?  Yet we continue to build on the beach paying so much more just to view the waves that are sure to come and collapse the house.
Has He not shown us numerous times throughout history that buildings reaching high into the sky will never take us as high as the smallest bird can fly? Yet we pay so much more to live high off the ground just to get a higher view of those on the ground when we’re looking down.

Has He not shown us ..

Nothing but the truth

The most selfish act of any husband and wife is depriving their child of a decent life.
Without nurturing the seed of that gift of life, they've cut the root of the flower with a knife.
Now the child runs wild, void of direction, becoming what society calls a diseased infection.
We as a people must cultivate our garden, and stop our hearts from being hardened.

For when you turn your back on a little child, they generally won't see forgiveness
Only handcuffs and court rooms with a judge, a prosecutor and the witness
Against your own sons and daughters, now that itself  should be quite scary
But in this land of the free, home of the brave diseases are removed by any means necessary!

Let's pray this premonition doesn't happen, we've got our warnings in advance
Look at the prisons and grave yards filled with our children; do you think this is just by chance?
Not according to William Lynch, the sadistic white slave owner in the year 1712
That promised his approach wouldn never fail in making the black mans life a living hell.

Divide us up with distrust, envy, and fear. The same shit we use on each other to this very year.
How else could the descendants of "Kings and Pharaohs" become so psychologically dependent?
Killing their own over colored rags and gang tags cause they somehow feel mentally offended.

Now surely you all can understand this "you all" meaning the well educated
The few that sits up high on the hill, whose memories of the hard times have faded
Or even the ones who watch our kids kill for something they don't own only rent
On their way to a prison cell or even worst, where the rest of their lives will be spent

Just another black man without a profession, no worthy occupation, and no forward direction
Dependent on a society that never gave a damn about his face or his race
Only the success of  the William Lynch scam.

A Woman’s worth

What's a woman worth? Everything on this earth

Goddess by her nature, mother of all new birth

Created from a man, yes that was Gods' plan

For through her womb have flowed all nations

That covers this beautiful land.

'I Pray"

My lips belong not to me, I pray they don't deceive
I pray my tongue is only boastful, praising God, in which I believe
I pray I never strut about as if I know the way
I pray that God leads my spirit; I pray this night and day.
I pray I never offend a friend by speaking my words to fast
I pray my good outweighs my bad, and those are the memories that last
I pray our spirit speaks louder than our mouth, so that we never fight
I pray that people understand my truth comes only from His light
I pray for the angels God put around me, that I hear the words they’ve spoken
I pray I remain humble on this journey so our bonds will never be broken.

Black Queens (Excerpt)

I often fantasize when she's not around
Of ways to caress her body, while we lay our loving down
Her skin is so brown and so tasty sweet
From the top of her head to the bottom of her beautiful feet
The way she strolls into the room, lets me know it’s all good
Whether she’s wearing Victoria Secrets or Fredrick’s of Hollywood
You see I’m in love with her body, but even more so with her mind
Infatuated when I see her coming, and drained when I view her from behind
I know she was made perfect, voluminous with style and flair
Though she comes in many shades, straight hair, locks or braids
She’s oh so much more then “just her hair”
When I see my Queen appear, I’m truly mesmerized,
So I love her with passion while being sincere so she can hear the dove’s cries
As the sweat from her sexy body drips down on my chest....

Loved One

Just because we consider some people to be our loved ones, doesn’t mean that we love all of the things that they’ve done. In this life I’ve been called everything from nice, kind, and giving to full of myself, bull headed, cocky, and arrogant. From guarded, shy and quiet to calculating , smart and even narcissistic.

On my journey back home I’ve come to realize that every one of those perceptions (depending on how you choose to view me) was true at some point. We all are a special creation within our self and that breath God blew into us consists of every worldly quality that exists good and bad.
Yet I’ve always known that my God made me just the way he wanted and so I tend not to apologize to man only to God for what I know to be my shortcomings. Talking and praying to my God will ensure the message he placed in my heart reaches all of those I may not.
I also know that when it’s my time for departure I want to be remembered as a loved one by those I’ve touched, yet I must say that for me it’s just more important to be remembered as a loved one by my God.

Likes and dislikes of this world

The poor doesn't like the rich, the rich doesn't like the poor
The pimp only likes the trick, the trick only likes the whore
The whore don’t like the men, but she likes the money they spend
A lot of people don’t like Americans, still the Bullshit they like to defend
The user doesn’t like the dope, but he likes to escape the day
It’s the crutch he feels he needs to cope, yet he wouldn’t like to die that way
Most people don’t like the truth, prefer the darkness over the light
But they really like to deal in the lie, if it makes them seem more bright
The Christian doesn’t like the Muslim, the Muslim doesn’t like the Jews
But they both like the concept of going to Heaven
And create Hell with some of the likes they choose.

Where In Hell Do I Start?

I don't walk through life feeling scared but I'm cautious
Keep my focus on winning yet I learn from my losses
But my mind says "In this life" son this you can bet
That nothing will ever turn green if it doesn’t get wet
So I accept the rain when it falls on my face
Ask how I deal with the pain, I just put it in its place
I recognize the light when there's a dark cloud
Try to focus on peace when everything seem loud
If I've messed up again, I get depressed this way
Need relief from my sins I look to my God and pray
Who else can I talk to when those around are full of shit?
Cause spitting a few words won't put out a fire when it's lit
But I know one thing for all those with the comments
I mean the ones on the fence with no spiritual sense
Who are you to correct me, tell me how I should be
When everything seen is not what every man can see
When I really need your help will you even be there
Or just shake your head and tell me how much you care
When the grass gets so thick it blocks out the sun
I try to run so fast yet nowhere have I run
Try to sleep at night, but my mind won't rest
Try to breathe real deep to ease the pain in my chest
Wake up in the morning praying to see some light
Praying God will forgive me for the things I didn't do right
Because I try every day, Lord knows in my heart
I want to get back home, but where in hell do I start?

What do we really know?

What makes today’s civilization think we know any more than those great civilizations’ of the past?  Fact is we still can’t even figure out the great accomplishments of the remote past.
The questions we ask today about where we come from, where we’re headed, how we should live, and for what reasons should we die are age old questions. It’s quite obvious that the answers have always been based on the belief of a higher entity regardless of one’s religious preference or lack thereof.
As I think about this, I can’t help but remember the elementary school exercise in which the teacher whispered something in the ear of the first student and the process was repeated throughout the class until it reached the last student. The lesson was simply to teach us how the original story changes when passed on from one to another!
What mankind has always known is that we are born into this world, and die on this earth. This is simply because while living on this earth we have all stood witness to these phenomena’s.  It’s ironic that our belief from the very beginning has always been the MOTHER of our faith in our FATHER.

She Never Knew

She never knew that taking his hand, came at such a great risk
Or when he asked could he be her man, he meant only with his fist
Or when she looked in the mirror, she would no longer see her smile
Just a cracked tooth, or black eye's, was the only image she'd see for a while.
She never knew when he said "let's go out on a date"
It would turn into "Bitch you ain't going nowhere"
Or when he smiled and said "baby you look so beautiful in that dress
It would turn into "Bitch go do something with your hair
She just remembered him whispering all those sweet "NOTHINGS" close in her ear,
Back then she thought "Damn" this is the best feeling on earth
So she gave him everything she could possible give, but found out
Those "NOTHINGS" he whispered, too him was all she was really worth.

You are a Mother

You are a Mother, the bearer of life seeds,
Gods' entrusted deliverer of His greatest gift to this world.
Through good times and bad...You are a Mother!
Through the laughter, tears, courage and fears... You are a Mother!
One drop from your love can change the world, because...You are a Mother.
One tender touch of your hand can change a girl into a lady
or, a boy into a man for...You are a Mother.
Every minute of every day and every night in every way never forget, always pray
because... You are a Mother.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers of the WORLD!

Today I'm Clowning

The life of a clown can appear as a great fallacy, for as they spend their lives making others laugh, they often cry inside knowing life is no laughing matter. Clowns are often deep thinkers that generally care about the happiness and welfare of others more than for themselves.
They often chose to deal with their deep observational pains on an internal battlefield, rarely releasing them on the world without the smile that covers the scars and pain created from that which they have observed.
Yet, they possess a light that shines far beyond where they physically stand. Always changing the lives of those who witness their gift, but never really seeing the full reflection on where their light shines. For they often cannot see through and beyond what they actually are...one of GOD's bright lights!
The moral of this is; we all have a little clown inside, so when you smile on the world, though you may not always recognize it...The Creator will smile back on you!

Take a stroll through your mind!

To me, there is nothing more satisfying than to journey inside one’s self in order to find the true treasure within. People tend to search outward for answers that lie freely within the housing of the spirit and soul, that being the body. That's like looking at a stone building from the outside trying to figure out how it's designed inside, you can guess all day, but you'll never really know! Take a stroll through your mind...you'll be surprised what you might find!!!

Morning Thoughts ( Yin and Yang of Love)

As I sit here, thinking about dealing with the ups and downs of love. I’m wondering if I'm destined to just love the thought of being in love, yet never have the pleasure of really fully embracing or be embraced by it. I've found that there is a pain that goes alone with the joys of love and from what I see "One doesn't come without the other."

A Message to Dad (Excerpt)

I shed a tear for every year. I called your name and you didn't appear
Yet I was so damn glad to see you when I did, that my anger wasn't
released, inside me it just hid
As I played on the dirty floor, a dozen locks on the broken door.
I was always hoping you'd come through, but the men I'd seen were never you
So I never called you 'dad', attitude became bad, when you were hurt I was glad
Cause I felt deprived of my father, and that's what's so sad.
See it's taken me years to visualize, to recognize, why I criticize
It was the drugs on the kitchen table, the fact that I wasn't able
To interrupt your mental aim, keep the dope needle out of your vain
Man, I couldn't make you be around like a father should
Yet mama never stopped believing in you, told me through her tears
that your intentions were good.
Still I remember the few times when you did stop by
Dropped me off some dead presidents for all the tears I would cry
For all the love I was missing, all the things you weren't giving
But due to the hand you were dealt, this was how you chose to make a living.
You looked me in the eyes, told me to understand, you just weren't cut out to be
a family man, told me to be a soldier, forget my age, block out compassion
replace it with rage....

Dreamland

I remember in my dream...love felt so very real
I could see it, touch it, and know it was God's will
I'd walk by the ocean, encircled in such a mystic glow
Like the river runs into the sea, love seemed to constantly flow.
But I was awakened from my dream, like so many before me
Awakened from a pure pleasure, too face a harsh reality.
I remember in my dream, there was plenty of love to spare
Yet in my awakened state of mind, finding love is so very rare.
What is this thing called love that seems so illusive to me
And why must I fall into a dream, for love to become my reality?
Could love be my soul's inspiration in my unconscious state of mind
And when I awake in the morning that's when I really become blind!
Blind to the love that my heart truly wants to give
And blind to the love I so desperately need to live!
What a difficult task it seems to be to bring love from dreams to the real
Yet I hunger for love's illusive power as if it were my very last meal.
I still thirst to drink from loves overflowing cup
As would any man thirst for water while crossing desert sands
For I know the reality of love rest at my fingertips
Begging to be released from my unconscious dreamlands!

Just A Thought

Today remember the power of a thought; All life flow from a thought, without a great thought there can be no great act. It's a double edge sword to mankind, for it's the basis for his greatest accomplishments and the root of his greatest fears all because it is " free from control" and as old as time itself. Remember we weren't just created we were thought about being created first, our world was not just sitting here in space, it was thought about first, then created and placed here...and that is why regardless to anything else we must think of God because God first thought of us!

ICE CUBE

With all my weaknesses I wonder if I shell ever see
The beautiful kingdom of GOD where there's peace and harmony
A place to let down my guard and let my wings spread wide
So angels can wash away the demons trying to grow inside.
I pray I can hold my ground until my judgment day comes
Though sometimes I feel like an ice cube that's been left out in the sun.
Part of me flows to nature, just like the Nile River,
Part of me rises like rain, ascending back to the sky
Part of me seems drawn through the cracks, to the sewer
And that's the part of me that I often pray would die.
Though some darker aspects of life says "It feels good"
When darkness takes hold of my existence
My soul screams "God please give me strength"
Cause without you I have no resistance.
So I'll continue to put my thoughts on paper
For I know I'm not the only one
That feels just like the little ice cube
That's been left out in the sun.

I want to hold your hand

I want to hold your hand through the wind and rain
I want to hold your hand through your times of pain
I want to hold your hand when you can't even see me
and lead you to the place where your spirit can be free
...
I want to hold your hand, when you want to give up
when you feeling all empty, my blessing will fill your cup
I want to hold your hand when your faith is not strong
too let you know in your heart, that you're never alone

I will never ever fail you, if you would simply understand
how to open up your fist, and let me just hold your hand!

Opinion (The Obvious)

It’s hard to understand today why people are so surprised at racism; written history has always shown a knack for attributing achievements falsely and the governmental policies and systems each culture fostered instilling such doctrines or beliefs of one’s race superiority over others.

In ancient wars the victor often attempted to destroy everything about its opposition except its libraries (The Real Treasure). The victor claimed that knowledge as its own, thus destroying and distorting any record of contributions to the world by the defected people, a practice which served two purposes, one it advanced the knowledge of the victor and secondly distorted and all but wiped out the contributions made to society by the loser.
These aforementioned actions are just a few of a plethora of examples which attributed to racism becoming one of the oldest, strongest and deeply rooted subliminal feelings to ever exist in mankind. People who feel the need to separate others based off of color, language, religion, or biases and assumptions  create a sub culture blind to racial boundaries with no bases other than ignorance, fueled by lack of understanding, intolerance, discrimination and ultimately hatred.

They lose sight of the reality that there’s but one race, the human race and become merely people connected by one negative trait; the belief that they are not equal but better than their fellowman.
